What is the Community Accountancy Service?
Greater Merseyside Community Accountancy Service is a friendly, flexible service designed to help voluntary, community and faith sector organisations with all financial matters - from petty cash to annual accounts.
Who can use the service?
GMCAS services are available to all charitable and voluntary organisations based in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St. Helens and Wirral. No organisation is too big or too small.
What can the Community Accountancy Service do?
Manual or computerised, we can design systems to suit your group.
Budgets and Cash Flow
We can offer assistance to meet the needs of current legislation and requirements of funders.
We can prepare current accounts to meet the needs of current legislation and requirements of funders.
We can carry out examinations and submit reports to your trustees.
Training can be delivered either on a one-to-one basis or with groups.
We can help you find the right person for the job.
We can offer advice to ensure that your report complies with the latest legal requirements.
Charity and Company Law
We will find answers to your questions.
We can offer advice on liability, registration thresholds, etc.
